He thanks the Hunters for defeating her before challenging them himself. In the Extreme Mode bonus ending, it is revealed that a resurrected Sigma is the one who put Berkana up to the Erasure. This puts an end to the Erasure and returns the DNA Souls to the comatose Reploid victims around the world. X pursues Berkana while Zero pursues Gareth, defeating both of them. After infiltrating the fortress, Berkana and Gareth personally challenge the Hunters, forcing them to split up. Once the Maverick Hunters destroy all eight guardians, Gareth contacts them again to invite them to the Laguz Research Laboratory for a final showdown. Iris also discovers that Gareth is one of the Soul Erasers behind the Erasure, and that they have been using the DNA Souls to power themselves up. While they fight across the island, Gareth meets with a witch-like Reploid called Berkana who is pleased with the Hunters' progress. X and Zero discover that the "guardians" are in fact past Mavericks resurrected from Sigma and Dr. Iris offers to create power-up parts from materials they gather along the way.
With no other leads, X and Zero decide to split up to take care of the guardians while conducting their investigation. He is intrigued by their strength, but refuses to acknowledge them unless they can defeat the eight "guardians" of Laguz Island. They defeat the vicious Skullhead, attracting the attention of a knight-like Reploid calling himself Gareth. Upon reaching Laguz Island, X and Zero determined that it is inhabited by hostile Mavericks and Mechaniloids. During the mission, they are supported by an inexperienced Navigator named Iris. The Maverick Hunters X and Zero receive orders to investigate the island in order to determine what is going on and who is behind the mysterious Erasure. One day, all readings of Reploids on " Laguz Island" in the Southern Ocean unexpectedly vanish. Is there another MM2 editor out there that I don't know about?Īny suggestions would be very much appreciated!!įorum Index → Non-SMW Hacking → Misc. All over the world, Reploids were having their programs (memories and personalities) suddenly erased, leaving their bodies hollow shells.
So, do any of you have any suggestions? I've tried and search but there doesn't seem to be a good MM2 editor, which is surprising as MM2 is the most popular one in the hacking community.
Mega man 2 rom plus#
Plus I've heard that it's buggy and can created glitches for the rom. Same as MegaEdit, this is a DOS-based editor and I haven't been able to use it. I haven't had much success running this thing. One example is that you can't insert new items.Īs far as I know this is a DOS-based editor. I also tried this one, but seems to be less versatile than the above.
Does anyone have the list of the items in Hex?ģ) From previous question, how would you get around the garbled sprites? I understand that this has to do with them being preloaded into the ram or something. I've tried to put a bunch on the screen in order to make my own list, however, all of them appeared garbled.
Mega man 2 rom how to#
Does anyone know how to get around this?Ģ) There's a list of items in Hex.
Mega man 2 rom Pc#
I tried to switch my PC to Japanese to run the program but they're still in ?'s. I've tried to use this one the most as this seems to be the better one out of the bunch.ġ) It's incredibly hard for me to use this as all the menus and buttons are in ?'s. Here are some editors I've tried to accomplish these, but have questions hopefully some of you can point me in the right direction: Something along the lines of Rockman Exile, but not to the extent of Rockman No Constancy.
Mega man 2 rom full#
What I want to do is much more extensive such as ememy/item placements, full level edits, damage and mechanics adjustments, and maybe music. I've looked and searched and tried many different editors, but have not been successful other than some graphical and level(move blocks/platforms around existing rooms) edits. My favorite is MM2 and I believe that is also the best one for me to hack because I prefer the mechanics in that one vs 3-6. I love all the amazing hacks that I've played and have always wanted to create my own. I'm new to this board and pretty much the whole Mega Man hacking scene.
